Our goal was to inspire Etech\u2019s leadership team to embrace the challenge to conform our company to a servant-led organization. The pillars of Etech\u2019s servant leadership <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/company\/culture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a> are our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k3r-oHngXAQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">12 leadership commitments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Those commitments are:<\/u><\/strong><u><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Being a positive influence<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/value-people-as-your-most-important-resource\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Valuing<\/a> others<\/li>\n<li>Leading with <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/integrity-in-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">integrity<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Leading with <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/the-role-of-humility-in-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">humility<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Leading with <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/lead-with-courage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">courage<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Being a <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/great-team-player-as-a-leader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">team player<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/great-leaders-communicate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Communicate<\/a> well<\/li>\n<li>Hold yourself and others <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/accountability-in-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accountable<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/become-an-adaptable-leader\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Adapt<\/a> to change<\/li>\n<li>Be a <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/all-great-leaders-need-to-be-lifelong-learners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lifelong learner<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Be <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/leading-with-creativity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">creative<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Embrace, live, and cast our <a href=\"https:\/\/demo.etslabs.ai\/etech26\/blog\/leaders-must-have-vision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vision<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Over the next 12 weeks, I will address each of the pillars and provide some examples of what that means at Etech. I encourage each of you to read, embrace, and self-evaluate. I would be honored to hear your thoughts or feedback.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Positive Influence?<\/h2>\n<p>We will start with being a positive influence at work. When I visit centers and ask, <strong><em>\u201cwhich pillar is most important to you?\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, being a positive influence is the one mentioned most frequently. So why not start here?<\/p>\n<p>Being positive is more than being a cheerleader or an encourager. While those things are important, there is much more to consider. Here are some examples of what it means to be a positive influence at Etech.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Act as a role model: Set a positive example by adhering to company core values, demonstrating a strong work ethic, not engaging in or tolerating gossip, and going the extra mile to help others.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a positive attitude: Always look for the good in any situation or individual. Be an optimistic realist no matter how challenging the task is ahead.<\/li>\n<li>Give specific compliments often, openly, and authentically to others.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to your team member\u2019s ideas and feedback and be open to new approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging and empowering team members to work together.<\/li>\n<li>Provide constructive feedback in a timely, caring, and private manner. The more your team knows you care, the more willing they will be to embrace your feedback. Praise and teach publicly, construct individuals privately.<\/li>\n<li>Show appreciation often for hard work and efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Celebrate successes publicly and frequently.
